Officers arrested two people in a stolen car and found a trove of cell-phones and mail when a concerned neighbor called 911 about a suspicious car in the Montlake neighborhood.
A concerned neighbor called 911 Monday morning when he saw a suspicious car sitting in the driveway of an abandoned house. Officers arrived to find the recently reported stolen vehicle with a 19-year-old male and 23-year old female inside.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Task Force took nine cell-phones and what appears to be stolen mail from inside the vehicle.
Detectives interviewed both individuals and have placed the 19-year-old under arrest on charges associated with the stolen car as well as an outstanding felony warrant. The 23-year-old woman, who was in the passenger seat, and is cooperating with investigators, has been released at this point in the investigation.
The 19-year-old male was booked into King County Jail where he awaits charging.
