Officers caught a man who witnesses say car-jacked a woman, hit her with the car and then intentionally rammed two police cars during a pursuit stretching from Fremont to Phinney Ridge.
Witnesses called 911 at 3:00 PM saying a suspect had just carjacked a woman near North 44th Street and Woodland Park Ave North. The witness also reported the suspect struck the woman with her own car. She was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
As officers poured into the area, they located the suspect driving the victim’s car. Officer began pursuing the suspect who rammed two different patrol cars during the chase.
The suspect crashed his car on Phinney Ridge and was taken into custody by officers. Witnesses were brought to the crash scene and verified the arrested man was the carjacker.
Detectives are assisting with the investigation.
