Police are investigating a hit and run collision where a car crashed into a building in the Denny Triangle neighborhood and burst into flames.
A witness called 911 around 2:15 a.m. after seeing a car smash into the ground floor of a building in the 1800 block of 8 Ave. The witness also described seeing the three occupants of the vehicle fleeing from the scene on foot.
Firefighters responded as a fire spread from the crashed car to the building. Residents of the building were safely evacuated. Police do not believe anyone was injured in the collision.
Officers have been able to verify that the vehicle, which crashed, was recently stolen in a nearby city. Police are continuing to search for the suspects in the hit and run collision.
