Police are searching for a man who stabbed and then robbed a woman in a Belltown alley Tuesday afternoon.
Employees at a local business near 4th Ave and Lenora Street called 911 around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday when a woman ran into their lobby stating she had just been stabbed. Medics transported the 31-year-old woman to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers swarmed into the area and began searching for the suspect who had run from the scene after stealing cash and a cell-phone from the woman. After an extensive search officers were unable to find the suspect.
Police located a surveillance camera in the alleyway and retrieved video of the suspect before the stabbing occurred.
Detectives and officers are continuing to investigate and search for the suspect. If you see the suspect, please call 911 immediately.
