Police need help finding two suspects, pictured below, who interfered with an arrest during demonstrations around 6 PM this past Saturday.
Police were attempting to arrest a man after he assaulted an officer near Western Avenue and Bell Street. Video of the incident shows police attempting to take the assault suspect (wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a striped, knit cap) into custody, when two other men and a woman interfered with the arrest, pulling on the suspect and shoving and pushing officers away.
Police were ultimately able to arrest the assault suspect, as well as one of the demonstrators who tried to prevent his arrest by repeatedly striking the officer.
Police are still searching for the other two suspects in the incident:
The woman pictured on the left is wanted for obstruction. The man on the right is wanted for assault on an officer and obstruction.
If you have any information regarding these suspects, please call the Seattle Police tip line at (206) 233-2666.
So far, the police department has arrested 21 22 adults and two juveniles involved in the demonstrations for a variety of offenses ranging from pedestrian interference to assault. No demonstrators or police officers have been seriously injured to date.
