Police arrested a man Monday for setting a sandwich-board sign on fire at a coffee shop, chasing people at the store and threatening to burn the whole place down.
Witnesses say the man put some cloth on top of the sign outside the shop–located in the 6400 block of 12th Avenue Northeast–around 1:30 PM and set it on fire with a lighter. He then kept flicking the lighter and threatened to burn the building down. In addition, he threw a sidewalk sign in front of a car and repeatedly chased two women at the store, threatening to hurt them.
Officers arrested the suspect at the coffee shop and booked him into the King County Jail for property damage and harassment.
