A man known for his work raising awareness about military veterans and their families, was assaulted while doing just that Saturday evening near the stadiums.
The victim, who regularly rides his bike wearing the stars and stripes, was taking a break when he somehow drew the ire of man riding by in a pedi-cab to the football game. The suspect and a woman with him in the pedi-cab threw food at the victim and his wife.
The pedi-cab operator kicked both passengers out after seeing their behavior.
The suspect, described as a black male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, measuring 5’10” and 260 pounds, approached the victim and punched him in the face. The suspect fled the area after the attack.
Medics took the victim to the hospital with injuries to his face from the assault. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect, who was wearing a football jersey,
