Police spent hours working to coax a man out of his Crown Hill home Thursday after he reportedly ingested hallucinogens and assaulted a family member.
Officers were called to the 9200 block of 8 Ave Northwest around 10 AM after receiving a report a man was hallucinating, had access to knives, and refused to leave the home after a domestic dispute.
The man’s family member fled the home before police arrived. SPD negotiators made several attempts to convince the man to leave the home, but he declined invitations to come outside. Officers eventually entered the house and arrested him.
Police will book the man into King County Jail for misdemeanor domestic violence assault.
