Teen Robbery Suspect Arrested by Police

Police arrested a 14-year-boy on Saturday for robbing another teen at gun point and then stealing his van late last week.

The suspect reportedly got into a van last Thursday parked in the 3100 block of South Holly Street, pointed a gun at the driver’s head and ordered him to hand over his property. The two briefly struggled and the gun went off. The robber then made the driver strip naked and stole his cell phone and van keys. The driver was able to flee while the suspect was searching the van.

The robber used the keys on Saturday to steal the van. Police received reports about 4 PM that he was at the Rainier Beach Community Center. Officers found him hiding in a bathroom stall and arrested him. The teen was booked into the King County Youth Service Center on robbery and auto theft charges.
