Officers arrested a robber after he threatened the employees of a doughnut shop and absconded with a maple bar Sunday night.
Employees of the doughnut shop in the 12500 block of Aurora Ave North called 911 around 9:45 PM Sunday, after a patron implied he had a gun and told them “this is a robbery”. The suspect, after being asked to leave, told the cashier he was robbing the store and reached for his waistband to imply that he was carrying a gun. The suspect ordered everyone into the back, and rummaged around the store for a few minutes while the employees hid and called 911.
Officers arrived and found the suspect at a nearby bus stop. Police arrested the suspect and booked the man into King County Jail on investigation of robbery.
After reviewing surveillance video, the store manager advised officers the suspect had pilfered a single maple bar during the robbery.
