Police Catch Two Would-Be Belltown Burglars

Officers arrested two burglars from a Belltown condominium parking garage early Saturday morning.

The night clerk at a Belltown condo saw three suspects breaking into cars and storage units in the parking garage around 3:30 AM and immediately called police. The caller stated the suspects were staging their ill-gotten goods near an exit to the alley.

Officers arrived at the condo building in the 2900 block of 2nd Ave and immediately arrested one of the suspects they exited the garage into the alleyway. A K9 unit responded and located a second suspect hiding under one of the cars inside the garage.

Officers have collected evidence and the investigation will continue the search for the third suspect seen by the caller. Police have booked the 45-year-old woman and the 36-year-old man into King County Jail on investigation of burglary.
