A 20-year-old man was wounded Sunday in a late-night shooting outside a Hillman City convenience store.
Shortly before 11:30 PM, the 20-year-old pulled into the store’s parking lot in the 5700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way S.. About 10 minutes later, a gunman opened fire on the man as he sat in his vehicle outside the store.
The 20-year-old was shot in the arm, and seven bullets also struck in the passenger side of his vehicle. Police also found a single round had struck a second un-involved vehicle as it drove past the scene of the shooting. The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured.
Medics transported the 20-year-old to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Gang Unit detectives are investigating the case.
