Detectives are searching for a gunman after a car was struck by gunfire Wednesday evening in the Mount Baker Neighborhood.
Witnesses began calling 911 shortly after 6 PM Wednesday reporting shots fired in the 2300 block of Rainier Ave. S. People described a passenger in a silver Audi firing shots out the window towards a fleeing black BMW.
Officers quickly arrived but only located shell casings littering the ground. As officers searched the area they found the black BMW and driver three blocks away parked in a convenience store lot. The victim said he couldn’t describe the shooter and only realized, after stopping at the convenience store, his car had been shot at when he saw nine bullet holes in it.
Gang Unit detectives responded to the scene and are investigating this case. If you have any information in this case please call 911 and ask to speak with an officer.
