Police caught two wanted men and recovered a gun Wednesday evening outside a Central District mini-golf course.
At about 5:30 PM, gang detective Wade Jones spotted a man near 23rd and Union, who was wanted on a warrant for a prior case, where police found him carrying a stolen gun.
Bike Patrol officers headed to 23 Ave and Union Street and quickly arrested the 20-year-old man for his warrant. During the arrest, officers noticed another man–a 21-year-old–hiding behind a nearby car and contacted him. They discovered he had a felony warrant of his own, and was carrying a handgun and 3.9 grams of crack cocaine.
Officers then booked the two men into the King County Jail, booking the 20-year-old for his warrant, and the 21-year-old for his warrant, drug possession and unlawful possession of a firearm.
