Seattle police arrested a suspect and recovered a bloody knife Sunday in Pioneer Square after a 38-year-old man was cut multiple times.
Witnesses reported seeing the two men in an argument in the alley near 3 Ave and Yesler Way. After the disturbance, the victim walked a block away and collapsed on the street corner. Officers found the man lying on the ground and called for medics.
Officer Marion watched security video from the Frye Hotel at 223 Yesler Ave, which captured the fight between the man and showed the suspect fleeing and climbing over a locked gate into an alley.
Police opened the gate and found a man matching the description hiding inside. Officers found a 3-inch pocket knife with blood on the blade inside his pocket and arrested him for felony assault.
The wounded man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
