Seattle Police Harbor Patrol officers responded with Seattle Fire around 7:12 a.m. this morning to a report of a body floating in the Ship Canal. Harbor officers located the body of an adult man floating in a cove just west of the Fremont Bridge. Officers transported the body to the Harbor Station and called for the King County Medical Examiner (KCME) to respond.
KCME staff arrived and will conduct their own investigation into the identity of the deceased man as well as the cause of his death, both of which remain undetermined.
