A female driver is in critical condition after crashing her car into a pole in the 1400 block of Aurora Ave N.
Police and Fire responded to the collision at 10 AM Monday morning. They located a minivan that had collided with a power pole, causing the pole to fall, and then continued on coming to rest against a tree.
The van was occupied by only the driver, who suffered life-threatening injuries. Medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center.
Witnesses told officers that no other vehicles were involved, the van simply veered off the road.
Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad responded to the scene to investigate.
