Police are investigating after the offices of the Archdiocese of Seattle were burglarized over the weekend.
An employee called police Monday morning after she arrived at the Archdiocese offices in the 700 block of 9th Ave and found someone had pried open several doors. Staff found that a burglar had rummaged through offices on several floors of the five-story building, and they were still trying to figure out what was taken in the break-in. So far, employees have found cash and a laptop were missing, and one staff member reported the thief had taken a stash of change he had set aside for use in the building’s vending machines.
The case has been referred to East Precinct detectives for further investigation.
UPDATE: Detectives have received security photos of the suspect inside of the building. If you recognize this man, please call 911 or detectives at (206) 684-4370.
