Seattle Police and King County Sheriff’s arrested a suspected gunman after one man was wounded Wednesday morning in a shooting on a King County Metro bus in SODO. Police are still searching for a second man reportedly involved in the incident.
At 10 AM, SPD officers and King County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 4th Avenue S. and S. Holgate for a report of shooting on a bus. Witnesses reported two men had fled the bus following the incident and deputies quickly took the suspected gunman into custody.
Seattle Fire Department medics transported the victim, a 22-year-old man, to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
SPD detectives are investigating the case and officers are still searching the area for the second suspect and other evidence.
Update: Police believe the suspect is a Hispanic male in his late teens or early 20s, last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored jeans, and a bandanna over his face.
Detectives believe the victim was specifically targeted by the suspects.
