A 62-year-old cyclist was seriously injured Wednesday after he was struck by a driver in the Ravenna neighborhood.
Around 1 PM, the cyclist was reportedly crossing Northeast 70th Street and 25th Avenue Northeast. As the cyclist crossed NE 70th, he was struck by a car travelling southbound on 25th Avenue NE.
Police and medics responded to the scene and the 62-year-old man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
The driver involved in the collision stopped at the scene and was contacted by police. Police evaluated the driver and found no signs of impairment.
Traffic Collision detectives are investigating the case.
