Detectives are investigating after a 31-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday evening in South Seattle.

At about 8:10 pm on July 24th, South Precinct officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 9300 block of 39th Avenue South.  Officers arrived and found a 31-year-old man, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.  Officers performed first aid on the victim until they were relieved by Seattle Fire.  Unfortunately the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators learned the victim was in his vehicle when he was confronted by several suspects.  The victim attempted to drive away from the suspects but was shot and crashed his vehicle into a building.  The victim got out of his car and collapsed across the street.  Officers detained and interviewed three people following the incident, and continue to investigate the case.
