
A 23-year-old man armed with a stolen handgun was arrested by police Friday morning in an operation targeting drug dealers preying on patients at a SoDo methadone clinic.
Around 10 AM, undercover officers purchased a small number of Xanax tablets from the 23-year-old near 6th Avenue South and South Holgate Street. He was taken into custody a short time later by a team of SPD Anti-Crime team officers and detectives,
When police searched the man, they found he was carrying 19 additional Xanax pills, nearly $700 cash, and a stolen 9mm handgun.
Police booked the man into the King County Jail for possession of a stolen firearm and possession of narcotics.
