Homicide Detectives Investigating Early Morning Pioneer Square Shooting

Homicide detectives are conducting an investigation following a shooting that left one man dead early this morning at Occidental Avenue South and South Washington Street.

Just before 2:30 am on Sunday, October 2nd, officers were in the area monitoring bar closing when they heard several shots fired.  Officers responded to the area and found a man lying in the parking lot, shot in the head.  The victim, in his 20’s, was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.  Despite all efforts, the victim died from his injuries at the hospital.  Homicide and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) responded to the location and began processing the scene.  This remains an active and on-going investigation.
