Man Arrested For Early Morning Homicide

Homicide detectives are investigating after a 24-year-old man was shot and killed in the 1400 block of Rainier Avenue S early Wednesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to reports of a shooting in a car occupied by four people just after midnight. When officers arrived at the scene they found the victim in the back seat of a car, stopped in the street mid-block.  Seattle Fire Department medics attempted to save the man, but were unsuccessful.

Detectives interviewed a 23-year-old passenger and determined that he was a shooter. Detectives arrested him and booked him into King County Jail.
