A 43-year-old man was arrested late Friday evening after officers responded to a report of a man with a gun in City Hall Park, located at 3rd and Yesler. Officers arrived at about 11:40 pm, and contacted the male after witnesses pointed him out inside the park. Officers stopped the individual and observed a handgun sticking out of his jacket pocket. The man was detained. A records check showed that the man had an outstanding domestic violence warrant and was a convicted felon. The loaded gun, a Smith & Wesson .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun was a reported stolen gun from Seattle. The suspect was arrested and later booked into the King County Jail on the weapons violation and warrant. Detectives are handling the follow-up investigation.
