Officers arrested a 17-year-old today after an armed robbery in the 1600 block of Queen Anne Ave N.
Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery of a convenience store in the 1600 block of Queen Ave. N. at 1:30 Monday morning. The clerk said that as he was working a person entered the store and pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The clerk, believing it was not a real gun, picked up an empty milk crate and threw it at the would be robber. The male suspect then fired a single shot which came so close to the clerk that he could “feel the bullet” as it passed his face striking the coolers in the back of the store. The suspect then fled the scene empty handed and could not be located by responding officers.
Officers continued to investigate this case until Tuesday morning when they located and arrested the 17-year-old suspect without incident. Officers booked the suspect into the King County Youth Services Center for investigation of robbery.
