Robbery detectives are conducting their investigation and Crime Scene Investigators are processing the scene following an early morning shooting and probable robbery attempt at a 7-11 in West Seattle this morning.
At approximately 2:40 Wednesday morning, officers responded to a 911 call from the store located at 16th Avenue SW/SW Holden. The on-duty clerk received non-life threatening injuries when a suspect, standing outside the locked doors, fired from a shotgun through the glass door. The clerk was injured from the shotgun pellets and glass, but the injuries are not serious. The employee was treated at the scene and then transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
The suspect fled the scene following the shooting in an unknown direction. A K-9 team responded to the scene, but did not locate the suspect. Detectives continue to gather information on this incident. This remains an active and on-going investigation.
