Witnesses began calling 911 just before 10 AM Saturday to report a man waving a knife near the Seattle Center. Officers responded to the area and tracked the man to a nearby parking garage.
The suspect turned towards the officers, made a stabbing motion with the knife, and threatened to kill officers before fleeing to the top floor of the garage. Crisis intervention officers were able to talk the man into dropping multiple knives and other weapons. Officers then took the man into custody without incident.
