Officer Jaimson Maehler was on patrol Sunday morning at 4:30 in the 2700 block of Cherry St when he saw a broken window at a business. Officer Maehler began checking the outside of the building and spotted a suspect inside the business and ordered him out.
The suspect retreated farther into the building after realizing the police were outside.
Officer Maehler, again, ordered the suspect out of the building, which was successful this time, and took the suspect into custody.
This is the second time this week Officer Maehler has noticed a burglary and arrested the suspect while on patrol.
