For over a month, SPD detectives have been searching for Miles, a one-year-old pit bull, after he was stolen from his foster family.
Miles’s foster father let a friend take the dog out of his downtown apartment around 6:30 AM on May 2nd to let him do his business. Miles and the friend never returned.
Miles’ foster parents contacted the shelter which placed Miles with his foster family, and they in turn contacted police. Because Miles was taken, detectives are investigating the case as a theft.
While detectives have been unable to locate Miles, they’ve learned he has been turned over to several different owners. Detectives are working to identify all the suspects involved in the case and are hoping to get Miles home as soon as possible.
