Three men were arrested Wednesday night after East Precinct detectives and officers served a search warrant on a residence in the Central District and found several stolen laptops and an ounce of methamphetamine.
East Precinct burglary detectives investigating several recent burglaries in the area developed information that a suspect and some of the stolen property was linked to a home in the 1700 block of 20th Avenue. East Burglary detectives, with the assistance of the Major Crimes Task Force, obtained a search warrant for the home. The East Precinct Anti-Crime Team served the warrant and safely secured the residence. There were a number of people inside the home at the time the warrant was served, and three men were arrested for outstanding felony warrants. Police seized two stolen computers, as well as about 34 grams of meth.
Police continue to investigate the burglaries and are working to return the stolen items to their owners.
