Detectives are investigating after a man was hit by an SUV Wednesday evening in the Brighton neighborhood.
The 17-year-old driver of an SUV was traveling along Rainier Avenue South approaching South Graham Street just before 7 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses said the SUV traveled through the intersection where it struck a 20-year-old man who was crossing against the signal.
Seattle Fire Department medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Traffic Collision Investigators are currently interviewing the driver and do not believe that alcohol or drugs were a factor in this case.
