Woman Arrested After Thursday Morning Belltown Burglary

Officers arrested a woman Thursday morning after she was seen on security cameras breaking into a Belltown building.

A security guard for a building in the 2800 block of 1 Avenue called 911 Thursday just after 3 a.m. to report an unknown woman had pried open a door.  The guard told officers that the woman made entry into the building and went into the secured parking garage.  Officers could see the woman trying car doors recorded on surveillance video from just minutes prior.  Officers searched the garage but were unable to find her.

Officers continued searching the surrounding area and eventually found the 29-year-old suspect in an alley.  The officers arrested the woman and found a small amount of heroin and methamphetamine during a search. Police booked the woman into King County Jail for investigation of burglary and drug charges.
