One man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday morning in Lake City following a dispute between a woman, her boyfriend and the father of her children.
The dispute began shortly after the woman, her two children and her current boyfriend arrived at her ex-boyfriend’s home in the 1000 block of Northeast 125th Street around 7:45 AM.
The woman and her ex-boyfriend–the suspect in the incident–began arguing. When her current boyfriend tried to intervene, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot him.
Both the woman and the suspect called 911 to report the incident, and the suspect surrendered to police upon their arrival.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are interviewing the suspect and will book him into the King County Jail later today.
