Robbery detectives are investigating after a man was shot and a dog was killed in a Judkins Park home invasion robbery at 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Witnesses called 911 Sunday night to report masked men had forced their way into a home in the 1100 block of 29 Avenue South. Officers responding to the call heard multiple gunshots in the area just prior to their arrival. Officers rushed into the home and found a man who had been shot twice and a dog that had been shot and killed, but no sign of the suspects.
Seattle Fire Department medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
Robbery detectives responded to the scene and determined that a large amount of cash had been taken from a safe inside the home.
