Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Sunday morning near Seattle Center.
Witnesses began calling 911 just after 2:10 a.m. to reports of shots fired at the intersection of 1 Avenue North and Republican Street. Officers arrived and found a 21-year-old man fatally injured with a gunshot wound to his head. Officers povided first aid to the victim until Seattle Fire Department Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives are now interviewing witnesses and will work with the Medical Examiner’s office as the case moves forward. Detectives are asking anyone with information to please call the Homicide/Assault Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
