Police responded to a report of a stabbing just before 11:00 am near NW 80th Street and 24th Avenue NW. Officers located a 35-year-old male with an injury to his shoulder. Officers performed first aid to stop the bleeding and then turned over the treatment to Seattle Fire. The victim told officers that he was stabbed by an unknown male in the shoulder while he was standing outside of his house, located in the 8300 block of 24th Avenue Northwest. The victim stated he ran away after the assault and met officers at the corner of NW 80th and 24th NW.
Officers went to the location where the assault occurred and interviewed the occupants of the residence. The occupants of the house stated that they were unaware of any disturbance that may have occurred outside.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of his injury. Officers searched the area for a possible suspect but did not locate any. Detectives will handle the follow-up investigation.
