Robbery detectives are handling the investigation following an early morning shooting at 2nd and Pine.

At around 3:50 am Tuesday, the victim and the suspect were together in an alley in the 200 block of Pine Street conducting a narcotics transaction. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money from the victim.  The victim started to leave the area when he was shot several times.  The suspect fled on foot.
