Two Arrested After Shots Fired in Pioneer Square

Police arrested a woman in Pioneer Square early Sunday morning after she fired a gun on the street, and also took her companion into custody after he struck multiple cars and nearly hit an officer while fleeing the scene.

Shortly after 2 AM, officers patrolling Pioneer square heard gunshots near 2nd Avenue and Yesler Way. Witnesses in the area directed police to a parking garage, and said the suspects had gone inside. Bike officers entered the garage and spotted the a man and woman in a Buick LeSabre attempting to flee the scene. The male driver nearly struck an officer as he exited the garage onto Occidental Avenue, where he collided with two cars.

The suspects then drove to 6th Avenue and Industrial Way where they abandoned their car.  Officers quickly found and arrested the pair without further incident.

Officers booked the 27-year-old woman and 28-year-old man into King County Jail for investigation of assault, hit and run, DUI, and obstruction.
