On Thursday, December 27th, shortly after noon, officers responded to a report of a stabbing that occurred at Renton Avenue South and South Henderson Street. According to witnesses, one male stabbed another male, leaving the victim lying in the street. The suspect then walked away. Witnesses and the first responding officer provided first aid to the victim until medics arrived. Seattle Fire Department medics responded and took over care for the victim, transporting him to the hospital.
Officers located and detained a possible suspect a few blocks away. Witnesses were able to positively identify the detained male as the suspect. The 31-year-old male was taken into custody without incident and transported to the South Precinct where he was interviewed by officers. The suspect was unknown to the victim. Following the interview the suspect will be booked into the King County Jail.
