SPD Major Crimes Taskforce detectives arrested a man early this morning following a month-long investigation into the man’s drug dealing in the Seattle’s Chinatown-International District
Earlier this month, another police agency arrested the dealer for DUI and seized his vehicle. Upon learning that the man, who was already under investigation by SPD, had been arrested and his vehicle had been seized, the Major Crimes Taskforce (MCTF) obtained a warrant to search his vehicle and recovered 27 grams of crack cocaine, 138 grams of heroin, sale ledgers, a scale and over $1,800 of cash.
The suspect was able to bail out of jail, obtain another vehicle, and went back to doing drug deals daily in the International District.
MCTF detectives then got another warrant, arrested the man, and recovered additional crack cocaine and $13,000 in cash from his apartment.
Police booked the 51-year-old man into the King County Jail on drug charges.
