Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was shot and killed in a Capitol Hill park Wednesday night.
Witnesses began calling 911 just before 10 p.m. to report that a man had been shot following a disturbance at the basketball courts in Cal Anderson Park.
Officers quickly arrived and found the 21-year-old man unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Seattle Fire Department Medics attempted lifesaving measures but the victim later died. The man was declared dead at the scene.
Officers on scene are still working to develop a possible suspect description.
Homicide detectives are now interviewing witnesses and Crime Scene Investigators are collecting evidence.
