Police seized a huge stash of Xanax and generic Alprazolam pills from a South Seattle man’s apartment early Thursday.
Around 6 AM, South Precinct Anti-Crime Team and Narcotics investigators served a warrant at the apartment, in the 3400 block of Rainier Avenue South, and arrested the 30-year-old suspect. The investigation was part of an effort to target dealers preying on methadone patients in the Seattle area.
In the apartment, police found over 3,500 pills, along with a magnetic card strip reader and coder device, blank credit cards, a laptop with labels from a local school district, a stolen drivers license and a notice indicating customs agents had recently seized over 600 grams of Xanax from the 30-year-old man.
Investigators booked the man into the King County Jail for narcotics possession and a DUI warrant.
