Detectives are investigating after a 29-year-old woman was stabbed in the 4200 block of University Way Northeast just before 4 a.m. Monday.
The victim called 911 early Monday morning to report she had just been stabbed by a man while in a University District alley. Officers arrived and found the woman with a superficial wound to her arm as well as in the leg.
The victim said she had been in an argument with a man who later grabbed her. The victim said she then pepper sprayed the suspect who pulled out a knife and cut the woman in the arm and leg before fleeing. She described the suspect as a 6-foot 5-inch black male, wearing a black baseball cap with a gold “H” on it and a dark jacket.
Officers with the help of K-9 units searched the neighborhood but were unable to locate the suspect.
