Officers Recover Dozens of Credit Cards During Downtown Drug Bust

West Precinct Anti-Crime Team and Bike Patrol officers arrested a heroin dealer and recovered more than two dozen credit and ID cards on Thursday during a narcotics operation in the Pike-Pine corridor of downtown.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man in the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue around 8:30 PM and found 25 different bank and ID cards, several of which had been reported stolen. One card belonged to a man who had dropped and lost his wallet downtown earlier in the week.

While many of the cards found on the suspect were not in the man’s name, not all of them had been reported stolen. So this seems like as good a time as any to remind you that you can report some types of theft via our online reporting page.

Officers booked the suspect into the King County Jail for a narcotics violation and possession of stolen property.

ACT and Bike patrol officers also arrested another nine people during their Pike/Pine narcotics operation.
