Officers are investigating after a man was wounded in a shooting in the University District early Monday morning.
Officers responded to the 5000 block of University Way Northeast at 4 a.m. for a report of a man who had been shot. When officers arrived they found a 48-year-old man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder.
Seattle Fire Department medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
At the scene, witnesses told officers they had seen a red vehicle speeding away following the shooting. Police searched the area and found several windows at a nearby business were also damaged in the shooting.
