Suspect Charged in Fatal Greenwood Shooting

Update 9/26: A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the May 15th shooting of a 22-year-old man in Greenwood. The victim died the following day from his injuries.

King County prosecutors have charged the 29-year-old with murder in the first degree and unlawful possession of a firearm.

He is currently being held in the King County Jail on a Department of Corrections warrant.


Originally posted 5/15: Detectives are investigating after a man was shot in the Greenwood neighborhood just after noon on Wednesday.

Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North 125th Street at 12:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived they found a man in his 30’s with a single gunshot wound laying in the ground.

Seattle Fire Department Medics took man to Harborview Medical Center where he is currently receiving treatment.
