SWAT detectives arrested the suspect on June 21st after he fled from them and sped down Interstate 405, where he threw a handgun from his car window, scraped another uninvolved vehicle, and then crashed into a concrete barrier. Gang Unit detectives recovered the firearm and the 24-year-old suspect was booked into the King County Jail. Robbery detectives continue to investigate.

Robbery detectives need your help identifying a man who robbed a woman in the 10000 block of 61st Avenue South Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched after neighbors heard a woman screaming for assistance at a nearby home. Officers quickly arrived and found the 68-year-old victim nearby who sustained minor cuts and scratches during the robbery.
The victim told officers that she was approaching her home when a man ran up behind her and grabbed her purse, and necklace before he knocked her to the ground and stole two rings off her hand. The suspect then fled the scene in a waiting vehicle.
