Police Arrest Man With Gun in Downtown Seattle

Police arrested a man and seized a handgun in downtown Seattle on Monday.

Shortly before 2pm, officers were searching downtown Seattle for the suspect in a shooting at 2nd Avenue and Pine Street, when they spotted a man with a gun sticking out of his waistband near 3rd and Pike Street.

The man had his sweatshirt pulled up and had a handgun clearly visible in his waistband

Police contacted the 27-year-old man, who did not have a concealed weapons permit, and took him into custody for unlawfully carrying a firearm and booked him into the King County Jail.

Police do not believe the man is connected to the shooting at 2nd and Pine.
