West Precinct bicycle officers arrested a man for outstanding warrants Wednesday afternoon and recovered a stolen handgun and drugs from his backpack.
Officers Randy Jokela and Jason Drummond contacted the 37-year-old man at 5th and Olive. The man had an outstanding felony warrant. Once the warrant was verified, he was arrested and transported to the West Precinct.
Officers located a stolen Glock 9mm handgun and 20 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 17 grams of heroin in the suspect’s backpack.
The man was later booked into the King County Jail for his warrant, possession of a stolen firearm, and drug charges.
